2012 Cabernet Merlot

Growing Practices:
This blend of dominantly Cabernet Franc and Merlot comes
from the Black Sage Bench in Oliver and the Osoyoos region
east of town. Cropped at well under 4 tons per acre and
hand-picked under blue skies.

Cellar Notes:
Such a great vintage, we let the fruit do the talking and gave
the grapes 26 days of extended skin contact. Minimal oak
and no mechanical interference was used in the production
of this wine.

The Blend;
52% Cabernet Franc, 43% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot make
up this blend. Attention to detail and a brilliant 2012 vintage
brings out the best of this wine and the best of our winemaker
Jason Parkes.

Tasting Notes:
Robust ripe dark fruits from 2012 give this wine the big bright
aromatics of Spice, Blackberry, Cassis and Chocolate. A young
wine that is mature beyond its age
