Question: I have a AMD 6970, and i want to connect 3 monitors, so should this connect the 3rd monitor which is VGA?, I am currently using 1 HDMI and 1 DVI

Answer: It works with my 7970. I had 1 HDMI, 1 DVI, and 1 VGA. The reason I said "had" is because I got a new monitor that supports DisplayPort naively.
If you are using this for browsing, VGA should be fine, but if it is for gaming then I would suggest getting a monitor that supports DisplayPort as a native input.

Question: Is this different from the following which doesn't seem to work w my MacBook air?

Answer: Mine did not work on my laptop. Not sure why but it was worth a try at that price. Good luck…

Question: I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but does this work with Windows 7 Professional 64-bit? Most of the adapters I see for Mini Displayport are Mac

Answer: It will work just fine on any PC.

Question: Is It work with Microsoft Surface Pro?

Answer: Yes, it did, but when it basically fell apart, it no longer did. The part that attaches to the Surface fell apart, leaving me to pry it out of the port with pliers.
