Question: I have a KVM switch that relies on power from the VGA cable. Will this converter supply the 5v needed from the VGA cable to power my switch?

Answer: Dear customer, I do not think our adapter could apply power from VGA cable.



Question: Will this work on a Surface 3?

Answer: No, it won't. Surface 3 has a Mini DisplayPort instead of DisplayPort. So you need an adapter with Mini DisplayPort as the male end.
