"First time I plugged it in, I got nothing. I wasn't impressed, but not surprised either. Two completely unlabeled, identical baluns, in a generic package?
Then I waited a week, and tried it again. Whoah, they do work! My first test used the graphics card drivers to force the known correct resolution to my monitor; after that, though, I found it would auto-detect on a monitor (1920 1080@60p) or a projector (1024 768@60p), and I could adjust the resolution as needed. It appears to be reversible, too - no Tx/Rx side. Finally, it works with decent ethernet cables at least 25ft long: I tried 10′ (good), 25′ (good), and 10+25 with a joiner (also good, but YMMV). It did not seem to work with a VGA gender-changer-extender on the end, but at this price that's fine."


"Really works well! I used these with a 25′ CAT6a jumper without an issue. In fact, I ordered more! It's much easier to run CAT6a than long VGA cables. I'm not sure what the overall range is, but for my purposes, this is a nice solution."


"Performed far better than I expected, some solid UTC cable has been a bit tricky to work with, I assume the multiple uses we put the same cables to are not easy on the solid cables."
